DHL Express currently has an opening for an Operations Supervisor in our facility in Calgary, Alberta. The Operations Supervisor provides “hands-on” proactive management of the personnelengaged within the day by day export, clearance and transit of applications and freight, withinprescribed requirements of value, efficiency, accuracy and on-time distribution. The managerimplements new procedures to improve operational effectiveness and presents performance reviews for management as required. Responsible for activities related to timely, safe loading and dispatch of DHL Aircraft in compliance with all regulatory necessities.
How will you make a contribution to the fulfillment of DHL?
Recruits, orients, trains, schedules, manages and recommends subject for all operations team of workers.
Establishes/implements productivity, first-class and value measurements & strategies to obtainfavored operational results.
Ensures timely and correct distribution of inbound and/or outgoing freight daily, in accordancewith installed standards and procedures.
Ensures compliance with Regulatory bodies and regulations related to Air Transportation of products and loading and dispatching Aircraft.
Ensures Load making plans and safety of all equipment and Aircraft used
Ensures Staff allows and Air operation audits region as much as date
Completes correct and well timed reports for control as required (body of workers schedules, attendance records, recruitment/ payroll documentation, dangerous items incidents, WSB reviews, load satisfactory, arrival/departure).
Ensures a hit implementation & persisted application of scanning technology.
Applies appropriate leadership/management fashion with open verbal exchange (i.E., communicates Corporate strategic plan, popularity of person/team contributions) to motivate staff.
Ensures sufficient body of workers resources, substances and supplies handy at all times.
Ensures warehouse is prepared and set up for subsequent shift.
Maintains system, in secure, efficient operating situation at all times.
Establishes/continues a proactive protection application in compliance with legislative necessitiesand the collective agreement.
Implements & follows up on Customer Service answers as decided via Sales resource group.
Addresses Customer complaints and escalated gadgets in a professional, expedient manner
Performs different assignments (i.E., assists Gateway Manager) as required.
Do you have got what it takes?
Experience operating with Canada customs.
Experience dealing with operations with components of aviation regulations.
three years’ warehouse/on avenue operations experience in courier industry.
Knowledge & compliance with Dangerous Goods
Prior running experience with lean / process development initiatives.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Proven communique skills – written & oral
Working knowledge/interpretation of Collective Agreements & Occupational Health & Safety Act.
Demonstrated drive, initiative & flexibility to make sure venture completion.
Demonstrated time control & employer skills.
College or University designation.
